< Back Ashley Sutherland Parker Faculty: Ballet, Jazz & Combo Ashley was born and raised in Orange County, CA and began dancing at The Irvine School of Dance. She continued to pursue ballet training with Ballet Pacifica in Irvine, CA. Over her dancing career, Ashley attended prestigious Summer Intensive Programs such as School of American Ballet , Pacific Northwest Balle t, Miami City Ballet and Joffrey Ballet School . Ashley joined the Joffrey Ballet School Trainee Program in New York City from 2007-2009. Throughout her career she had extensive training in Ballet, Modern, Contemporary & Jazz dance. Ashley officially joined the SCPA faculty in 2015 - teaching a range of styles and ages! Her passion is sharing the love of dance with her students. ashley@southcoastperformingarts.com

< Back Devyn Lovett Faculty: Ballet California native Devyn Lovett began his Ballet training at the age of 7 under the tutelage of his mother Carolyn Lovett. In 2010 he continued his training under scholarship at the Dmitri Kulev Classical Ballet Academy. Devyn has attended San Francisco Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Houston Ballet and Ballet West summer intensives all under full scholarship. In 2012 Devyn accepted a position with Houston Ballet 2 as a result of his top 12 placement at the Youth America Grand Prix New York City Finals. Devyn later relocated to Utah to dance as a Ballet West trainee. Devyn was a grand prize finalist in the Non Classical dance category of the prestigious Music Center Spotlight Awards in Los Angeles. He has also guest performed in the Anaheim International Dance Festival and the "Gala Di Danza" program of the Spoleto Festival in Italy, both in association with Youth America Grand Prix. He has also performed for the Marina Almayeva School of Classical Ballet and the Vancouver Junior Professional Division Spring Concert in Vancouver Canada. devyn@southcoastperformingarts.com

Recital Information We are looking forwar d to celebrating our 23rd annual recital with all of you on Saturday, June 20, 2026. Our Solo, Duet Trio Season Finale will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026. A Few Reminders What show is my dancer in? Show assignments will be posted no later than April. Dancer Drop Off Time: Coming Soon! Parents are not allowed backstage. Dancers will be dropped off at the backstage check-in point. Come with hair slicked into a low bun, center part with no bangs. Remove all jewelry and nail polish before arriving. No photography or recording is allowed during the shows. Please no food in the auditorium or backstage areas, water bottles only. Dancers will remain backstage until the entire performance is over. Join The Team Rubber Duckies Performing Group Shooting Stars Company Rubber Duckies gives dancers, between the ages of 3-7 years old, a chance to take class and work on choreography throughout the year. In addition, they attend 2 competitions and perform in our Holiday Show and annual June recital. Performing Group is for dancers who wish to increase their training and participate in a competitive venue. These dancers train 3-5 hours per week and compete at 2 competitions plus our Holiday Show and our Annual June Recital. Learn More Our Shooting Stars team highlights dancers who are dedicated to the sport and who have goals of joining our Company Program in the future. These dancers take 4-6 hours of training per week, compete at 4 competitions, and participate in our annual Holiday Show & recital in June. The South Coast Company is for select, dedicated dancers ready to commit to a 5-10-hour training schedule (dependent upon age.) They compete at 5 competitions a year, attend conventions, and perform in our annual Holiday Show and June Recital. Company team placements take place in June. Holiday Show #1 10:30 a.m. Holiday Show #2 11:30 a.m. Competition Team Season Preview 12:30 p.m. Holiday Show Breakdown By Day/Class Tickets! Comp Team Season Preview Dancer Sign Up! Preview in Show Order w/Dancers Listed Event Details Get into the festive spirit with our annual holiday performance! Enjoy a joyful, family-friendly event featuring our talented dancers showcasing fun, upbeat routines. This community-centered show is perfect for all ages, celebrating the season through music, dance, and holiday cheer. Don't miss this heartwarming event – it’s the perfect way to kick off the holidays with friends and family! Arrive 30 minutes before show time. 10:30 a.m. show, dancers arrive at 10:00 a.m. 11:30 a.m. show, dancers arrive at 11:00 a.m. Holiday shows are approximately 25 minutes long. The competition team season preview is approximately one hour long. Parents are not allowed backstage. Dancers will be dropped off at the backstage check-in point. Attire: Ballet dancers should wear their regular class leotard and tights. If they are also performing in another style, they can add black bottoms over their leotard and (if they have one) a black tank top over their colored leotard. For all other styles, dancers should wear all black (no midriff showing) with a touch of holiday flair. Hair: All female dancers should have hair in a center part (no bangs) and pulled into a low ponytail. Male dancers should make sure to have their hair out of their eyes. Remove all jewelry and nail polish before arriving. Please, no food in the auditorium or backstage areas; water bottles only. Dancers will remain backstage until the entire performance is over. (If your dancer has any problem, we will page you in the auditorium.) Tickets are $8/person/show. (+ vendor service charges & sales tax) Tickets go on sale Saturday, November 22nd.
