Kaeli Shaw

Kaeli has been dancing since the age of 5. She took Ballet and Hip-Hop classes for fun until moving from Maryland to San Diego, CA where she began her intensive dance training. Kaeli started her ballet training at San Elijo Dance & Music Academy but spent most of her time at Dance FX in San Marcos - receiving exceptional training from Heather Dale Wentworth and Michael Reid. She competed both for DFX and for San Marcos High School’s Dance Team in which she was elected as Captain her senior year. During this time, she really honed her skills and performed and competed in large group, small group, duet, and solo pieces. She also developed a love for choreography through creating dances for the SMHS Dance Team and TA’ing for the Ballet/Tap classes at Dance FX. Kaeli attended Cal State University, Northridge where she minored in Dance under the direction of Paula Thompson. Here, she continued her training and developed her choreographic abilities. She is well-versed in Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip-Hop, Musical Theater, Pom, and Modern Dance.
